Lan Ha Bay is the stretch of and karst islands, limestone crags and floating fishing villages on the eastern side of Cat Ba Island in northern Vietnam. It is on the far reaches of Ha Long Bay, perhaps Vietnam’s top tourist spot, making it a little less jam packed with small cruise ships. We took a two night cruise on board the Perla Dawn. Despite spending the night with a few dozen different boats within view and having to chug through several garbage and diesel patches of water, the setting is absolutely spectacular.
