This is the travel blog from our little family of three—Leyla, Mark and Emily. But TRIOS also stands for The Road Is Our School. We’ve been blessed with the opportunity to travel for the school year in search of art, food, adventure and sustainable community while exploring history, culture, and of course new languages. We will investigate how physical geography influences these things. We are particularly interested in what it means to be healthy, happy, inspired and fulfilled around the world. We are curious if these qualities are the result of wealth, or if in fact they are the best measurements of it.
We are creating this on-going blog to help us keep track and remember each piece of this puzzle, but also so others, who may want to join in the quest can learn as well, both about specific locations and the How-Tos of doing something similar. It is, and probably always will be, a work in progress.
